Great in most respects but gets a low review for one important reason. Having everyone print and mail by post rent checks to avoid the absurdly excessive electronic funds transfer fee is backwards and unreasonable. Doing so (mailing a bank check) avoids accountability and is often "lost" leading to late fees and other changes that have to be proved with evidence which takes time and can be delayed and tied up for years and cost more in arbitration than it is worth. We’ve worked with Eddy and the Blue Stone team since 2014, first for a SFH and then a two unit property. In 11+ years, we’ve experienced only about 2 months of vacancy. His team is communicative, their rates are great, and our tenants in La Mesa and IB have experienced quick respond when the inevitable inconveniences happen. My number one issue is that they are just not accommodating at all towards tenants. I cleaned the hell out of our place when we moved out and it was cleaner than when we moved in. They called me to tell us to go clean more or we get charged. When we went to see what it was it was literally just some dust that took like 2 minutes to clean. Thanks! Look forward to your rent going up even if you pay on time all year. I would advise any new tenants to read the addendum area of your lease and run it by an expert.
