Would have given five stars if the host had followed up as promised, but I should have known better when they didn’t before check-in. This place is great for somewhere to sleep and near the beach. But if you’re looking for clean, well-maintained, “as pictured” listing, this isn’t the one for you. I paid nearly $500 a night for the experience you will read below. Absolutely perfect location... Walking distance from Balboa Park, local restaurants, all of the wonderful things in the Hillcrest neighborhood. The house itself is a perfect size, plenty of room and everything is very well set up, clean, modern and comfortable. Very private and quiet too! We really enjoyed staying in this place for the weekend. We were able to walk to restaurants and stores…it’s so close to everything! The hosts were super responsive via text when I had a question, the condo was clean and I loved that there was a parking spot. 10 out of 10, we would stay here again!

Truly enjoyed the stay at cardo's place in Ocean Beach (San Diego). The brand new kitchen was absolutely fantastic! Wow --beautifully done with a very large island--much nicer than the picture showed. They had everything a person needed to cook a nice meal or even make some cookies if you wanted (as they had a hand mixer too). The outside patios were very nice and relaxing and there was an awesome hammock and comfortable seating for the whole family on the lower patio. We had an amazing g stay at our SD CARDO vacation rental. It was quite the hidden gem and the perfect getaway for our little family. It had everything we needed from the beautiful views, to the few steps away from the beach or bay, bikes, and all beach toys needed to entertain. We will definitely be back.

We rented a townhouse in Ocean Beach and it was beautiful. Very clean and had everything we needed to make ourselves a few meals. We loved the option of being able to sit out on the back porch and some comfortable furniture with a fire pit, or on the front porch at an high top table, overlooking the bay from a distance. I’ve attached a photo of the bay view. Check-in was a breeze and Cardo was very responsive when we had questions. Use of an actual garage and garage door opener was a big plus! Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at one of their houses in Ocean Beach. The location was fantastic. It was excellent and exactly as advertised. We felt right at home. They were quick to respond to our questions and very kind.

We had a wonderful stay at Cardo Vacation Rental home in Sunset Cliffs, San Diego. The house was even better than the pictures—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable for our group. We especially loved the ocean views and the surrounding area. There are nearby walking and hiking trails, and we enjoyed some truly beautiful sunsets during our stay. The beach was easily accessible via a set of steps, which made it very convenient. Fantastic home in a great location. The home was clean, well appointed and not overly decorated like many air bnbs. The host company and owner were very detailed in instructions and attentive, often asking if anything would improve our stay. Perfect for 4 people and wonderful outdoor space! Walkability to downtown shops/restaurants and the beach is also a bonus - plus easy on street parking (garage not even needed although provided). As a renter in the area of Airbnbs several times per year, this ranks highly.

We had a great time in Ocean Beach. Our house was perfect for our family of four. The house was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for a short walk to restaurants, shopping and the OB pier. There were several local restaurants and coffee shops within two blocks. The neighborhood was quiet even being close to all the activities. Communication with the Cardio staff was excellent, they made the check in process very easy. We will definitely rent again. ❤️

My group stayed at their place in San Diego, located by University Heights. The view was breathtaking, and the neighborhood was safe and welcoming. There were numerous restaurants and a convenience store within walking distance. All the activities we planned to do were within a 10-30 minute radius. My favorite part of the stay was the private hot tub. I would definitely return and stay here again.

We rented a week’s beach stay through Airbnb. Great little condo, clean, good amenities. All as described. The AI, however, tried twice to sell me an extra night (hallucinating about our arrival details), asked me five times for a check in form (which I had provided the first ask), thanked me for providing it, and when I ignored further asks for the check in form, the AI canceled our reservation midweek. Thankfully an actual human got involved. Worked out fine, but I would have preferred to avoid the hassle.

My family had a wonderful stay at one of the properties in San Diego. The house was very clean, spacious, private, and felt incredibly homey. The location was great- easy to find and convenient for getting around, while the neighborhood was quiet and perfect for a relaxing stay. First review, second time on Mission Blvd with Cardo … just as great as last time! Mere yards from the beach and bay, restaurants, clean, well appointed mini house! Even AC if that’s a must, and a great curbside patio with a propane fire pit! We shall return! Cheers!

We enjoyed our stay - reservation system was very user friendly with good communication, and the place was clean, and definitely beat staying at a hotel.

I booked a last minute property through a 3rd party and contacted the cardo vacation rental to confirm booking. I filled out requested paperwork and Cardo rep confirmed details. Two hours later I got a message that the reservation would have to be canceled because they no longer managed this property. I found it bizarre they didn’t know this when I booked. Be careful if not booking directly.

Stayed in the same place for a 2nd time. Was as good as the first time. This particular place is really close to the water which was great. Also had a garage. Highly recommended.

Rented the Saratoga Sunset in Ocean Beach and it was amazing. The rooftop deck was awesome with seating for eight people or more and a grill. We were only about a mile from the beach and Sunset Cliffs look out point. Also within a mile of shops, restaurants and bars. Everything you need is here.

We had such a great stay at Beach2Bay. The cottage was so adorable, clean, and was in a great location. It was The Masters (golf) weekend. After beach time and lunch, we would head back to checkout how the guys were doing in the tournament. I recently rented out through VRBO, a cute little unit for a good price. I was looking for a nice little getaway and found it. The unit is located to the left side of a home where you enter through a white gate door. One of my favorite things about this place is you don't have to worry about losing a key for instead of a regular lock it is a passcode locking mechanism. I actually prefer that style. Everything is shifting and comfortable but the only downfall I would say (and this could be just because I am 5ft. 9) and the beds are really low to the floor and the couch is comfortable but not me…

My family stayed at the nice house in San Diego about a 1 mile from the zoo, and walking distance from nice places to eat and while would like to give 5 stars there were a few things that bothered me. The description said two rooms and it be nice to say 1 queen and 1 king, we were hoping for 2 doubles and i should have asked the parking can be a challenge since you parking in a busy street and minor touches need to be down like in the primary bath, clean around the shower base and whoever touching up paint really should use the white color. We loved this little place. It was in a great location where you walk a block down the hill and all the restaurants are there. Anything from a Dive-Bar to fine dining. Our favorite spot to eat is Old Venice, some of the best Italian Food and a nice wine selection. My go to was the roasted garlic and Brie with garlic bread to start and everything on the menu that I tried for my entree was amazing. Then there is the Harbor Town Tavern that’s like a local bar with nightly themes (my wife’s favorite was Thursdays for Bingo night or Wednesday for Karaoke). You can bet food there too late night. Wonderful place to stay right on Seacoast! You can see the ocean and hear the waves at all hours with the patio doors open. We were only 2 but you could have a whole family comfortably! There is 3 stories of sleeping options. Heat in the place kept us perfectly temperate too. Customer service was helpful and very attentive. It's a bit tricky at the property at first, so it helps with the directions they give you upon arrival. All in all, excellent vacation spot!!!

I strongly recommend this vacation home in San Diego. The home was very clean and organized with modern fixtures. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are very clean. Secured parking garage was a plus. They really try to make sure you have everything you would need in a vacation home to make your stay comfortable.

Really perfect location! Right across the street from the water for perfect sunset, lovely little walk to the cove and sea lions,10 minute walk to the restaurants and shopping. Lovely view of the water from the small kitchen window, but do you know that the balcony faces another building not the ocean. Comfortable tonight weekend for the four of us. Thank you!

Rental was exactly as pictured. Room for all 7 of us, close to everything. Enjoyed the fireworks at Seaworld, however fireworks ended about minutes before house rules had you off the deck.

The apartment was absolutely wonderful, location exceptional . The kids loved the Tri level aspect of the apartment/condo. As seen in the picture preview , it is one of the only units with a view of the ocean. We did not do our research on the beach safety issues with toxicity and unhealthy levels on sewage persisting in the water and signs posted along the beach , But it didn’t keep us from enjoying the pier and walks on the beach. I rented one of Cardo's places for a family get away. We haven't traveled for a while so I probably pushed our budget more than I should have. But my kids are worth it.
