Andrea at First Service Residential serving Del Sur is amazing! She worked so hard for me to get the HOA paperwork completed. She kept me updated throughout the process and went above and beyond to get everything submitted!

The customer service is horrendous and cannot seem to address or resolve minor issues. An employee hung up on me when I called them. I am referring to the mission valley branch that manages 92127 properties. They have HOA rules in place but cannot seem to uniformly enforce them. Instead, they seem to handpick newer property owners to harass about their HOA rules.

Our Mount La Jolla HOA has recently changed to FirstService Residential to handle all aspects of our community. This is at least the third management company we have had at Breeza and by far First Service is the best and most competent. We were fortunate to keep our General Manager Ms Alma Galindo who transferred from the prior Management Company to First Service which I am sure attributed to a seamless transition. It seems customer service with FirstService Residential is largely based on who you get as your community manager, and unfortunately the manager of the HOA, Morada Maintenance in Rancho Bernardo, has been non-responsive and unorganized, unnecessarily delaying my architectural application for 3+ months. I still don’t have a response from the Board, which is not in keeping with Davis-Sterling guidelines. I can’t say enough about the administration and maintenance crew at Smart Corner — from Nerissa to Michael to Sammy, and every member of the maintenance team. My husband and I bought our unit about 30 years ago when the Plaza was being converted to condos. Over the years we have enjoyed the location and the amenities. I wanted to share my amazing experience with the Del Sur Community Association. We had a water irrigation mishap that was caused by unruly tree roots. Silvio, Darren and Chad went above and beyond to help remedy all the issues. They were very personable and knowledgeable. Chad and his Brightview team were kind and professional. I’d like to give a special shoutout for Nafisa, who has gone above and beyond her job duty to make accommodations for new owners. Her presence makes us new owners feel welcome. During the recent system breakdown many new owners couldn’t receive a fob to gain easy access to the gym. Nafisa made special efforts to contact the tech support multiple times and kept us updated on the situation. We were new in the community, and I have had to reach out to James Quiett our First Service HoA Manager multiple times for different questions/problems. Interactions have been very pleasant with James, and he always goes above and beyond to help solve it for us. We had not received our ballot as it went to the previous owner. James helped coordinate with the ballot office, and helped arrange another ballot for us to be able to cast our vote just in time. We had an issue with our billing, and James was also very supportive in helping resolve that as well.

First service has been excellent in the last year primarily because—I think— they end up finally recruiting an outstanding manager for our Electra Condominium in San Diego! The representative that I worked specifically with was Nikole Suarez from the Del Sur Community. I found Nikole to be responsive, communicative, and very easy to work with. I had a minor issue with some landscaping that fell outside the guidelines as set the HOA. Instead, on May 7, 2026, they had attorney Macsen Latimer from Berman Flury issue a threatening letter to my landlord, twisting this plumbing interaction to label me a nuisance. I live at Breeza in Little Italy, and have been pleased with First Serivce’s response times for emergencies. This was something our last company wasn’t as good at. Response time is key to secure our building and try to save money by not prolonging the issue. Silvio Lopez is awesome! We have a tree in the alley that has been dropping berries for years and creates a mess. I have tried to get the tree trimmed or removed for years and could never get anything to be done about this tree and the mess it leaves. As long-time residents at the Electra, we have seen and worked with various property management teams. The current team from FirstService Residential, led by Elle Mondant and Michelle Schillaci‌, is not just friendly, but responsive, communicative, helpful and always courteous. They have been diligently working on "unscrambling" the management and financial difficulties left by previous leadership, restoring the health and future of this beautiful building.

This review is for Aaron Garza a The Plaza condominiums specifically. He is very responsive and helpful, he's helped me navigate a few issues ( figuring out the new intercom, navigating changes in documentation requirements for renting, etc.) with patience and grace. I am still on the fence as for the company as a whole, but want to acknowledge Aaron as I value having good interaction with on site management.

The Plaza Condominiums in Pacific Beach are being managed by First Service since September of 2024. I will say that it's a work in progress. We need a fair amount of rehab after having let certain maintenance go by the wayside for too many years. But I have confidence that we will pull it together and I truly believe for service is striving for our ultimate good. I had an issue with my parking pass while I was out of town, and was in danger of getting my car towed. I contacted Eve Howard, my community manager, and she was extremely understanding, considerate, and prompt in helping me resolve the situation. I am very grateful for the service!

A few days ago, my son lost his Apple Watch at the pool. He was really heartbroken about it, and honestly, we thought it was gone for good. But just in case, we stopped by the Del Sur Ranch House, and to our surprise, they had it safely stored! A staff member working around the pool turned it in to the office before anyone else could take it. Thanks to the amazing team who are always working hard behind the scenes, we were able to get it back. It reminded me once again how lucky we are to live in such a safe and honest community.
