The ultimate test came in mid-2025 when my rental unit suffered major water damage from a leak in the unit above. From the outset, Devon took complete charge. He managed the entire, complex insurance claims process, ensuring a fair settlement. We have a condominium in La Jolla Shores managed by Harland and are only here infrequently. On May 13, I was here alone. I went into the utility closet to get some supplies and closed the door behind me. When I went to exit, the door would not open. It's a non-locking door, but the spring mechanism inside of the handle had broken, so the handle would not withdraw the latch plate and let me out. Luckily I had my phone. I am extremely pleased with Harland Property Management. When I decided that I wanted to rent out my property I researched and interviewed several management companies. Harland was by far the most professional all the way from their customer service to their website. I was able to complete all required paperwork via email as I live in Europe. They have been managing my property for several months now and I couldn’t be happier. Everyone there is amazing! Whenever I send them an email they respond immediately, and quickly address my questions. Highly recommend this company.

Harland Property Management has been so wonderful in getting our property prepared for renting. They are extremely kind, knowledgable, organized, and work at lightening speed! Once our property was ready, they came in and took care of everything necessary to begin the rental process. Jovoni has been so helpful in organizing and taking care of all things preparation in such a quick manner. Harland PM has offered excellent support to us as tenants. Each issue we have had has been dealth with by office staff quickly and effectively. Most recently, we worked with Tenant Coordinator, Tyler, and he was amazing. He ran intermediary for us on an issue with City of San Diego and was so thorough, kept us constantly informed, and resolved the issue sooner than expected. I really appreciated his care and professionalism toward the tenant issue.

Berenice the maintenance manager has helped me with several issues and has done so very quickly when needed, something I truly appreciate!

Punitive fees for tenants. Slow to schedule repairs. Made us contact a vendor and coordinate resources. Tried to change terms in our lease after the fact. Beware

I am currently living under a property managed by Harland. Old management was words better, as Harland is money hungry and will always put profit first. They will have tours set up in your home BEFORE you move out so there is no gap in profit for them. Mind you, the complex i rent is infested with COCKROACHES and they have done little to fix the problem (but don’t mind raising rent!) They have done zero renovations but have raised the rent over 5%. I have heard management lie to tenants about why units are vacant, saying it’s due to unpaid rent and evictions. The reality? Nobody wants to live …

Fantastic property management company. Maintenance request were handled swifty and efficiently. I enjoyed being able to do almost everything thru their app including setting up my rent on auto pay so I never had to worry about it! Carrissa, Devon, Tyler, and Luke were all extremely friendly and made the move in and out process extremely easy!

Any time there is an issue it is promptly taken care of and their property is very well maintained. We have rented from this company for 2 years now. Recently we had a maintenance issue with water damage. Their team reacted fast and coordinated repairs efficiently. While we had to move out for three days while they dried out the floors they were very good at communicating with us and letting us know what to expect.
