If you want an HOA management group that does absolutely nothing and ignores each inquiry, you should hire Packard Management Group. They cannot be reached via email, phone or mail. It’s almost as if they go out of their way to ignore owners and any work orders. A huge disappointment and impossible to work with.

I have tried to work with and be understanding of this company. Yes the board is ultimately responsible for the nonsense that goes on, but that doesn't give management a pass when they lie to me. Two years ago we TNRd a feral cat. The HOA then told us we were responsible for taking care of him. We fought this for two years, eventually having an IDR. After that meeting, their lawyer sent a very confusing letter which seemed to state that we were no longer responsible for the cat. We requested clarification from management and never received any, so we set him free. Three months later, they are …

I’ve worked with Sean Freeley and Packard Management for over five years, and they have been consistently outstanding. They are extremely professional, very responsive, and do an excellent job staying on top of every aspect of the property. Communication is always clear and timely, and it’s obvious they genuinely care about proper management and long-term results. I highly recommend them.

Edit to my past review: Packard's work has slipped considerably in the last 12 months. I really hope they can return to a previous standard of service. Packard has done a great job with our community. I would say, I understand the negative reviews but management companies must take direction from the Board, and therefore the Board disposition has more to do with the way Packard interacts with residents. I have been on the board for my HOA for over 10 years and been through several management companies, and we finally landed with Packard in 2016 and they have been SO great! HOA management is hard even on a good day, and Packard (along with our Manager Brenda) have consistently provided excellent oversight, timely payment of all of our bills, and they stay current on all new laws as applicable and keep us compliant. Brenda with Packard management is a good rep for our HOA. Whenever I contact her, I can expect a response within 24 hours. Communication is such s key asset of any organization. It's probably the most important thing homeowners want.

I have served on my HOA board as CFO for the past 4 years and have worked extensively with packard management. The entire staff has been amazing to work with and extremely professional. Our manager, Sandy, has been the biggest asset to our community. The breadth of knowledge she brings to our community allows for efficient and accurate meetings. The attention to detail and management has allowed our HOA to save money and provide better service for our community. Property management is a tough business and I would always recommend this team because they are always up for the challenge.

Unresponsive, disorganized, unhelpful, and unreliable. They're great at managing our building, but they seem like they could care less about the tenants. When my roommate and I moved in, they tried to charge us exorbitant fees. A $300 refundable deposit and a $140 non-refundable move-in fee. From EACH of us. So $600 in refundable fees and $280 in non-refundable fees. We requested documentation for the $140 fee since it wasn't in any of our move-in documents, but they were unable to provide anything that would substantiate the fee. When we moved to San Diego 2.5 years ago from Seattle into the Vista Del Cerro Townhomes Brenda Travers was a huge help to us during our complete townhome remodel. This was a 6-7 month project that required specific questions/emails to Brenda, and she provided the answers in a professional and timely manner. Great help, because there was a lot of detail work done. Brenda continues to be a great resource if we have any unexpected issues or request to come up. It's good to know we have an advocate to go to.

I have lived in San Diego for 4 years now and have had positive experience in my community managed under Packard Management Group. A lot of regular maintenance are being done in our complex. It makes a residence feel safe and secure. I appreciate the up keep and consistent follow up.
