Whatever you do stay far away from this company, the maintenance is terrible, I have many work orders from an inspection and here we are months later and no maintenance have yet entered my apartment. Very large amounts of mold, cracks in the floor, cracks in the ceilings, water leaks and etc. Also let me not forget to mention, the people in the leasing office down in Middletown, at new field towers are very rude and disrespectful. Let’s start off with the office people Some of them are very rude mostly Sharon Jody( how ever you say her name ) in the Meriden office that lady has no compassion for tenants at all they need to teach her how to talk to people , she rushes you off the phone and don’t let you talk . and they need to hire better maintenance people their work is very sloppy and never done correctly. The apartments need to be updated for the price they charge .

I had a very disappointing experience with Lisa at the Meriden office. My grandmother ,who only speaks Spanish, claiming she hadn’t paid the correct amount since April 2025 and that there was a balance from September 2024. My grandmother was never informed of this prior, and when she explained she didn’t understand, Lisa told her to have someone call instead of arranging for a translator. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Carabetta properties. Been living in Westfield glen for over a year and it’s been nothing but a nightmare. Management is so disorganized and rude. Forget about getting any maintenance done without having to call numerous times for the same issues only to get an attitude. This company is, by far, the most disappointing rental experience I have encountered. The collections staff, in particular, are unprofessional, condescending, and outright hostile. There is one individual—a relative of the owners—whose customer service skills are so abysmal that interacting with her is an exercise in frustration. Her inability to resolve issues in a timely or respectful manner is unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on the entire organization. I've lived in a Carabetta property (Stonegate) for 5 years now and I feel like my issues run more in line with the building itself rather than the landlord. For one, summers are brutal in the master bedrooms of the units. They have these massive double-wide windows that create a greenhouse effect that can hit the entire upstairs during a heat wave. If you're looking to save money by not having AC, I wouldn't recommend this place on that alone. The bigger issue is climate change, and how the age of the buildings effects their handling of water. By far the worst “management” company I’ve had the displeasure renting from. If you have a choice of living in a Carabetta managed property or living under a bridge, live under the bridge. Thankfully, we got out of their horribly managed, disgustingly kept property. They are by far the worst. I could go on for hours but trust me, don’t make the mistake of renting from them no matter how desperate you are. You’ll regret it as everyone else has.

I have seen a lot of negative reviews for Carabetta, but this was not my experience at all. We are subsidized, so it did take a long time to work through the application process. This is not Carabetta's fault, it is just standard for the process. Samantha LeBron was very professional through the whole process, and the front desk person was always polite. Now that we are moved in, we are very happy with our new home. It is safe, peaceful and lovely. Rent payment is really easy to set up, and our complex is very well managed. I am very happy with Carabetta and recommend them highly.
