William was the maintenance tech assigned to my home to take care of a plumbing issue. The service was scheduled to take place between 1pm-5pm, however, William called at 10am and said he was available to take care of us. When he arrived he thoroughly explained what he was going to check, and thoroughly explained the repair process. William went above and beyond to get my family and I taken care of, and also cleaned up after himself very well. I have NOTHING bad to say about this experience, William was excellent. I cannot say great enough things about Lawrence not only did he come well after hours way beyond anytime I expected, but he solved even more problems that had existed to actually address the initial problem so it was absolutely outstanding service. If they tell you, you’re getting Lawrence, you’re gonna be happy

Jonathan did a fabulous job when he came to the house to fix my air-conditioning! He was very informative, explaining what he was doing every step of the way and showing me things I can do on my end to maintain the system. He was very friendly, professional, and efficient!

Jonathan was tremendous help resolving our water heater leak! Great character, bubbly energy, and determined to fix our issue. He stayed through and tested to make sure we had our hot water back and that there was no more leaks. Would recommend him over and over to help!

Anthony D and Antwain R the best in Midwest! I was very upset about my urgent need! They were early, took care of the job, cleaned up their mess. They made sure that I was satisfied with the job before they left. They were very knowledgeable about the maintenance issue. I would highly recommend they come out to any property through First Key. Went from $1,700 to $2.060. The first month we paid the new rent we had no AC and they refused to come out and fix it for an entire month. After two months, it is still not fully fixed and working. This house is completely falling apart and they don’t take anything seriously. Beware of this scamming company!!!!!! Edit: they outsource all of their customer support centers so good luck talking to anyone with competence

Josh H. was the nicest! He understood the assignment... get the AC working again! He took his time to double check the issue and resolution.

mark did an amazing job! we’ve had issues for months with our ac not being able to keep up with the heat outside. he fixed it within 30 minutes!

Their emergency line does NOT do emergency repairs. My kids and grandbabies are in their home with the ac broke and it’s 85 in there. They keep saying they will contact them but haven’t. They won’t fix anything fast at all.

The worst company you can rent from I’ve been living my house for less than 10 months I called 4times for leaking roof and every time they come, they mess up the wall more with them paint and never fix the problem now I’m calling them and explain it to them. There’s a flooding everywhere from the roof and explain it’s gonna be raining all week the water coming next to the electric two days straight. I’m calling the emergency hotline and until now no one come out to check it up I don’t know what I’m gonna do. I have three kids. I’m so worried just if something happened while we are sleeping an…

I had to place some maintenance order to fix the light/Ceiling fan in the Primary bedroom. Wilmer was the maintenance tech that showed up and was absolutely amazing! He was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable about what he was doing. Thank you, Wilmer!

Every aspect of working with this company has been negative. I'm a new tenant and online portals, move in inspections, maintenance portals, and even the lockbox access code do not work. I just want to get my move in started and my documents completed but I'm being held up by these "convenient" systems which don't work. Their offices are closed so I can't get ahold of a human for correction and now I'll lose an hour of time I could've been moving in. Look elsewhere for rentals.

I have never in my life had so many issues with a rental company. There has been so many issues since we’ve moved in. I have submitted over 20 maintenance requests the past couple of weeks. There’s preexisting mold in the shower that we have yet to receive a response on it back yet except the maintenance guy says “I’m not a mold expert, try bleach” We also have well water but get this, THEY DON’T REPLACE OR CHECK ANYTHING PRIOR TO MOVE IN. A resident and maintenance guy should not have to watch YouTube videos to figure out what’s wrong with our water. They “supplied” 3 bags of salt to “fix” th…

Lawrence goes WAY above and beyond!!!!!!! Lawrence came this morning to fix my heat. He was fast and efficient. He had to run to the store to get a new part but got back super fast, then got it fixed quickly so now I am nice and warm. Lawrence also noticed that my front door would not shut properly partly because of the hinges, partly because of the hardware that was "fixed" by another person. I hadn't even mentioned it to him because I hadn't put in a work order yet. But he fixed it without even telling me until he was ready to leave. I was so excited there are no words. I just started renting a property with FirstKey Homes and have had a great experience so far. Gerri, the property administrator, has been wonderful, and Cody was incredibly helpful in answering the many questions I had throughout the process. The turnaround time was quick, and any issue I raised was resolved promptly. I’ve been very impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism of the team.

Every time we have Josh H over for maintenance needs, it’s just a helpful experience! He really actually listens to the issue and then goes from there. I’m always grateful when he’s the maintenance guy that FirstKey decides to send our way!

Andre and William came out to help with getting part of our refrigerator fixed and getting the water heater fixed. They were punctual respectful and informative. This is the second time Andre has come out to help and he has always been easy to talk to and easy to have around the house while getting work done. Highly recommend these two workers.

I had the opportunity to work with Andres Gomez from the Resident Relations Department. I was truly satisfied with his services—they resolved my issues—and, of course, I couldn't forget Cesar R, the supervisor, and Cesar V. A truly excellent team.

I had a maintenance request and Mr. Anthony came out and got my AC working in not even 20mins. He was very nice and knowledgeable about what the issue was. He is greatly appreciated and great at his job

We noticed our ac wasn't working and the house was getting hot. Mark came out and found the problem immediately and fixed the issue. Then he checked the freon level and some other items to make sure it will keep working with no issues. Can't say enough about the great service from Mark and First Keys!

Yikes! Lease is almost up and we get hit with an additional $300 increase in rent costs per month!!! The avg market value is the same as it was 9 months ago when we signed this lease and a 15% increase each month is unheard of!! Who would agree to this?? You do it once and they’ll do it every year.. no thank you

Thank goodness for Andre! Came out after hours to find out why all my drains weren’t working. He was professional, clean and kind. He fixed the issue within 15 minutes. I hope the next time I have an issue, they send Andre :)

FirstKey is always a quick to get maintenance concerns schedule. Wilmer came out to clear a fallen fence and replace an appliance switch, called with an arrival time, was professional and timely. Offered great communication with next steps with the fence maintenance.
