Monon Park, Managed by Buckingham Monon Living reviews
I’ve been a resident at Monon Park for almost a year now and it’s been nothing short of amazing! It’s a small and quiet community that’s located in a tucked away area, yet still a very centrally located property. Britney is always amazing to speak with and makes sure to get the job done. Very happy to call this place home.
This has been a long time coming. The amenities are nice and the homes are not bad, however the management has had high turnover and gets worse as the years go on. There is minimal communication and management seems to pick and choose who to answer, even seeming to ignore those that raise concerns more often. Maintenance is doing their best, they are good guys, and they are set up for failure due to the management hiring incompetent outside contractors. The air conditioners seem to break yearly, my units has been not functioning properly for weeks. They provided a window unit however there …
i lived here about 4 years, nice area maintenance comes quick when it’s emergency. seems like they’ve got new staff i’m moving out of state and Brittany was very respectful and clear in a nice way and helped me through the process honestly and letting me know the next steps never had someone actually be nice calling an apartment complex lol
I don’t typically take the time to write reviews, but in this case, I feel it’s necessary. I’ve rented apartments for over 10 years and can confidently say that living at Monon Buckingham Place II was my worst experience. Unfortunately, the issues started from day one. On our move in day, we were given the wrong apartment key and had to wait over an hour for emergency maintenance to arrive and let us in. Throughout our time living here, we experienced ongoing issues, including: Maintenance Delays and Appliance Issues: Multiple maintenance requests took months to be addressed along with multipl…
I’ll let the pictures do the talking. This is CONSTANT by the way. So it may be pet friendly but is this really pet friendly or safe for people or the kids that play here?
We love the ammenities here but wanted to switch layouts after our first lease - Brittney and Jayden were so helpful with our transition within the property!
This place has truly felt like home from day one. My experience at Monon Place II has been a really happy one, and it’s easy to see why—everything is well taken care of and the community feels welcoming. The apartments are spacious, modern, and still feel very new. They look great and everything works the way it should. The bedrooms are super roomy, the bathrooms are comfortable, and the showers are spacious—everything runs perfectly, which makes everyday life so much easier. And the kitchen is honestly a highlight. It’s very open and roomy, and the hanging lights over the kitchen area make …
Living at Monon Place II has honestly been such a great experience. From the moment you drive in, you can tell the community is really well cared for everything looks clean, fresh, and organized, and it gives you that “home” feeling right away. One of my favorite things is how peaceful and quiet it is here. It feels safe, calm, and comfortable, which makes a huge difference after a long day. The access to the property is super convenient, and overall it just feels like a place where you can truly relax. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They’re always respectful…
I don’t quite remember his naw I think it started with a J a fairly tall man. He was amazing to work with and thorough. Very willing to explain all of my questions and doubts about leasing a new apartment.
I have had nothing but great experiences at Monon Place in my 3 years! Maintenance is quick to respond and you see them out and about regularly keeping things looking nice. My apartment was just big enough for me and my cat until we moved out-of-state, but I would’ve stayed longer if I could!
This review in regards to Monon Place 2 having lived for 2 years. Year one and a portion of year 2 had been an absolute disaster but in the last few months in the later half of 2025, it seems there is new management and maintenance team that has been greatly improving the customer service and maintenance in the area. If that continues this can be a great place place to live. Without this new maintenance team and management, I would have given this place a 1 star. Pros 1. Fantastic area within walking distance to the monon trail and broad ripple. 2. New Maintenance guys have been very helpful…
love living over here. its out own little quiet place. We have seen the new team be very active completing work orders and cleaning up the area, installing new lights, filling pot holes themselves and walking the grounds every morning. It really nice to know they care and are available. We have a couple "bad apples" here but what place doesnt. Hopefully the new team knows of them as well and can clean that up too. Otherwise we love it here!
Much appreciative of the hard work I have seen the current team doing. I have seen the office crew (along with maintenance) picking up trash in the community, fixing up items outside and I even spoke to the manager who was out walking the grounds so you can tell they truly care
Josh was one of the maintenance guys that came to help fix a dripping kitchen sink. He was respectful of the space, held decent conversation, was willing to talk me through some other concerns we (thought) we had, and even put in and completed another work order for a shower issue we just experienced the night before. Put in the request in a Saturday, Josh was here about 9am Monday morning. Best maintenance experience so far, not to mention the apartment (so far) has been very nice. Haven’t had any issues so far (about one month in), the workout space isn’t terrible, and haven’t had any issue…
For the last few summers our pool is closed due to waiting on parts most of the summer With how much our rents run you would think they would have a pool maintenance in place and know our issues ahead of time
The leasing office team at Monon Place is amazing! They are communicative and friendly. Ashlei has gone the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and supported.
The pool has been closed for a month and they aren’t sure when it will reopen. It was closed for over a month last year as well. This is a common issue at this apartment as you’ll be charged for stuff that you won’t actually get to use. I feel they charge around $200 over the actual value so keep that in mind when apartment hunting.
The front office has been great since new staff came in last fall. They are friendly to work with and timely in maintenance requests. Will miss Monon Place!
Best maintenance staff i’ve ever encountered when renting
I'm thoroughly impressed with our estate office staff and the maintenance team! I had a sudden plumbing issue, I called them and they responded promptly. Their quick action and expertise got the problem resolved in no time. Highly recommend their reliable and efficient service! 5/5 stars
I’m extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this apartment complex. Despite living here for over a month and submitting maintenance requests, calling, and emailing over a dozen times, nothing has been done to address the numerous issues. The toilet seat is broken, the bathroom sink is clogged with debris, and there's an unsightly hole in the bathroom door that I didn’t cause. The glass shade on the bedroom light fixture is loose, and the screen on the bedroom balcony door is filthy and broken. There are no vertical blinds on the balcony doors, and the bathroom lacks proper ventilation, co…
tl;dr We moved into a newly renovated unit that had major problems (e.g., broken hot water heater). After a slow initial response, national management took comprehensive action. We're looking forward to our time here! July 25/27: I was so excited to move into this place! Excellent vibes when I visited; unfortunately, that’s not the case since we moved in. Our lease started June 28. We moved in noon July 25th, and were greeted with several things not ready/working in the apartment: no hot water, flooding washer, dryer not vented properly, dishwasher not hooked up, faucet spout leaks, garbage d…
Today was my move in day. For starts, no air conditioning. I moved in to an apartment that was 92 degrees. Brand new washer, no water flow. Lastly, no lights in bathroom. This is unacceptable! This was supposed to be a happy moment, considering I just buried my mom a few days ago!!
I lived here for about a year and a half and loved it! I lived in one of the newer buildings, so I can’t speak to the maintenance issues people mention in the older half of the community, but I found the maintenance staff to be very helpful and responsive. The location is very dog friendly being right on the Monon, and the pool and other amenities are great.
The front office was friendly and helpful when moving in, but that ended the moment you signed the lease. From then on it becomes clear you are nothing more than a number on a spreadsheet and they will find any excuse to charge you money. It starts off with the "Valet" Trash collection service that they charge you 25 dollars a month for, and you can't opt out. And half the time it isn't picked up on the scheduled day. Then, the first time my lease was up for renewal, they decide to raise the rent by about 10 percent. When I asked if that can be negotiated, they said it can not. A few days af…
