My son recently moved into a rental in Elkhart. The rental came with a fridge, supposedly working. The fridge was not working when they moved in. MBSR sent another fridge to them and that one stopped working. They have been without a fridge for over 2 months now. My son and his girlfriend have reached out to the lanlord and still no fixed fridge. I feel like the company is taking advantage of first time renters. If they don't fix the fridge, I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Housing Authority. Thought I'd start here...

Worst property management company - does not respond to clients even when there is no electricity. Tried to force a tenant to sign a new lease when the current lease was still valid.

My experience with them has been completely negative. They play with the numbers while ripping me off of the money due to me. As a homeowner, I wouldn't hire them to manage a dog house!

I wish management would answer about maintenance calls or follow up on left messages. I know a few people that rent from MBSR and its simple issues that make living in these homes uncomfortable. Complaints could be resolved in one visit if they would put more time into responding and prioritizing their tenants. I think this is the most affordable rental company in this area but they have low reviews because their response time is horrible. IF you're lucky to get a response. Its a shame.

Madison was very understanding when I had concerns about my home she put work orders in while talking to me and the contractors were great. Fixed everything I asked of them. They’ve always been kind to me while speaking. And I have the cells # Incase of emergencies. I haven’t had any bad interactions with the staff at all.

I have been charged $15 extra dollars for insurance although I provided proof that I have my own renters insurance. I call and text the number their company provided on their website, but have not gotten a call or text back from anyone...most of the time I get a voice mail saying that the person is not excepting calls. This is very unprofessional for a property management company.

TERRIBLE!!! DONT FIX ANYTHING!!! DONT ANSWER DONT REPLY!!! LIST GOES ON 0/10!!!

MBSR RENTALS IS GREAT COMPANY AND SOME GREAT PEOPLE CAME OUT WHEN THINGS NEEDED TO BE DONE AND ALSO WORKED WITH ME AND WIFE WHEN LIFE HIT AND COULDNT PAY FULL RENT THEY KEPT US WITH A PLACE TO STAY UNTIL THINGS PICKED UP FOREVER GRATEFUL THANKS FOR EVERYTHING WILL DEFINITELY BE STAYING WITH THIS COMPANY

Got me and my family in quick and fast despite our problematic circumstances. Staff was very friendly and supportive. House we moved into is great. 5 stars all the way.

Madison is the best and very helpful. They do a great job. Only issue is there allowing a person to damage my apartment door and stalk me and almost cost me my job and keeps sending threatening msg he just get a slap on the wrist. He’s turn my breaker box off mind u and they don’t care.

MBSR Rentals has given a lot of people who needed a second chance renting that chance. Not a lot of management companies will give individuals second chances. Michelle has been amazing in her communication and follow through ... thank you for all you do for so many!

I have been really trying not to leave a review, but since Ican win $100 for being honest and respectful at the same time, why not every complaint I’ve had for my apartment since I moved in November 15 has not been met. I lied they did come and fix the heat or turn the heater on when I first moved. There was a bug issues got that figured out/ handle that ain’t infested so it’s fine when I moved in the fire alarm battery things have not been changed so they still beep to this day cause I’m not changing or paying $25 to change something that should’ve been changed before I moved in to the cabine…

First apartment was infested with roaches. When they tried to fix it, they made it worse. Due to that environmental strife and me starting a new position, I chose to leave that apartment for the mental well-being of myself and my dogs. They graciously offered me to move into a second apartment which I accepted it was a bit more expensive but it didn't have the infestation problem that the previous apartment had and I felt that I couldn't really relax and work on relaxing after struggling through my days. We've been renting with MBSR for over 4 years. When the owner of our old unit switched property management companies, we knew we were sticking with MBSR. We've just moved into our new, bigger house 😃 and are thankful to MBSR for all they've done for our family

We started off a little rocky before I moved in it was just miscommunication nothing more nothing less but after that everything was smooth any time I reach out to them if I have a problem they get on it right away the only person I contact is Madison thru email and she goes over and beyond to make sure your needs are met with no questions asked if need be she will though but I highly recommend no slumlords this way better than my last place more room and private backyard will be with them for awhile if gods willing

We did move in old apartment and we loved old apartment! Then landlord did let us move in bigger house. We loved our new house! We do have nice backyard. We did talk to landlord about gutter need new one. Then in about few week later they did got order for gutter. Now, our house is so beautiful place to live! Our landlord is very wonderful to us! Landlord did good job get everything ready for us to move in etc.

It’s not many rental companies that are so willing to work with you. They definitely have, without bickering or making a big deal…you definitely have up in downs as far as them responding but they are always reasonable and accommodating

Horrible landlords all they want is money, they take their time fixing things, get upset when informed about their property needing repairs, has an incompetent secretary named Madison that is absolutely clueless to her job, they are unprofessional and money hungry. I've been renting with them at the same address for 3 years. They've always been good about responding to maintenance requests, but this last time they went above and beyond! I am very grateful for them, and definitely recommend them!
