My roommates and I could not have asked for a better first time renting experience than we had with Sam and the rest of the Vertex team! Emails were answered the same day almost every time, and maintenance requests were always completed promptly (within 2 days). They communicated clearly, addressed even small concerns, and were always super positive and helpful overall!

I lived in The Plaze Building in Downtown Northampton managed by Vertex Real Estate. The building is always in great condition. Maintenance is done on a regular basis, and anytime there was an issue it was addressed immediately. Best views of the city as well.

James Beadle in maintenance was super helpful! Our fridge/freezer stopped working Saturday afternoon and after a phone call, James went to 3 separate stores at 10pm to get a temporary cooler and ice for some of our food while we wait until Monday. They were very kind and had honest communication as to when we would hear back from vertex. Thank you James!

Only use these guys if there's no other option. Needed an emergency plumber and called in in the morning, received no follow up calls and plumber never came. Had to buy plumbing equipment and fix it ourselves. Also extreme mold issues and humidity so high the floor spontaneously becomes wet so it is necessary to run dehumidifiers constantly. Oven is tiny and top heating element doesn't work. They do not care about you, only your money.

Absolute nightmare for many of the same reasons as the other one stars. We showed up, and the house smelled absolutely rank and the walls were an awful tie-dye of different shades of white due to poor painting, which they deemed acceptable for move-in. Additionally, there were water stains from a leaking roof and the pantry was visibly sagging, all of which were considered acceptable. Beyond the house being gross, they consistently resisted or were extremely slow with any maintenance. As a tenant, Vertex has been incredible responsive, organized, and friendly every time we've worked with them. Their payment and maintenance request systems are modern and accessible, their staff is by far the nicest I've ever experienced for a real estate company (especially Sam, consistently checks in and follows up on any questions or concerns), and they seem to genuinely care about their clients. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to rent in the area!

I've been a Vertex tenant for three years and have really enjoyed living in a property managed by them. They're kind, respectful, prompt, courteous and reliable-- I couldn't ask for more! Sam has been especially great. Thanks for a great three years, Vertex! :)

Make everything really inconvenient. Already paying for the house and they’re still making me wait a week to get the key. Gotta fix that policy.

Maggots and flys invested the garage because they refused to listen to the requests we need a trash can(they wanted us to just through the trash in a open barrel and let it sit in the garage), now the flys and maggots are coming through our walls and light fixtures, we reported this months ago in the summer and the didn’t do anything about it. This company is disgusting and their practices are abhorrent, by continue to agree and put off our issues “because it’s busy season” well thank the lord they’re priorities are only with the rich college students with money and parents to hound them.
