Make sure that you have an attorney review the language in the management contract before you sign. You want to preserve your right to give an honest review. My mother signed a contract which had a "Non-disparagement" paragraph in it. As I said, preserve your right of free, honest speech.

I've been using Abacus Avenue for over a year as a rental property management for my condo and have had a very smooth experience thus far. The tenant review process was handled very professionally with a local realtor who visited the property and advertised it right away. They provided counseling in regards to lease creation and handled the entire process very effectively with full transparency. DO NOT USE!!! Would give a 0 if that would be an option. Horrible company. They are "managing" our association for about a year now. Never showed up on the site. Refused to provide financials to the BOD, refuse to show up at the site, refusing to speak to the BOD. Rude, unprofessional, charging for no service. OVERPRICED.

Horrible service. They told me on the LAST day of my year lease (February 28) that my landlord was proposing a $500.00 increase in my monthly rent, after I was told my rent would remain the same month-to-month until a new landlord took over. When the sale of the property fell through, they proposed the $500.00 increase, which would have started in April. Due to the fact that the property was already poorly managed, filthy, and in violation of multiple codes, (which is probably why the sale to the new landlord fell through) I decided it wasn’t worth it to stay in that building anymore.
