I am making a honorable mention of a young lady named Violet. She is the first person you interact with when entering the office. She is professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Her kindness left a lasting impression. My rental is managed by Valentina and Gabe. As of yet, I know them to be professional and patient. So far, so good!

MD2 managed a property I lived in for about 2 years and the property management team who led coverage of my building were extremely helpful and responsive. Any time something came up I was able to get questions answered and solutions provided in a timely fashion and had a really positive experience overall with my unit.

Do not rent With this management group. My complaints are similar to the ones before me. But, My biggest and most current continued issue is with the quality of their building and inadequate heat. We’ve complained about our draft issue since December. It is now February with no solution. Our floor and bathroom are consistently 48-58 degrees with a cold chilly draft seeping in through floors, closets, cabinets. I have an infant and we cannot take her a bath or let her crawl on floor due to how freezing these temps are. That’s not liveable. I should be able to safely bathe my baby. The draft is …

Got locked out at 3 am , intercom was not working. No help came, had to pay for a locksmith out of my pocket

I have experienced several issues with my apartment, but the most pressing of all was I did not have heating in my apartment for 3 full months, from December to February. I called and texted many times and was ignored by management. It escalated to the point where I called 311 several times and told them I would take them to court, and only then did they finally fix my radiators, which were broken the whole time. I strongly suggest you avoid any property that utilizes MD2 as a service provider. It was the perfect storm - Gensis the property manager is horrible and unprofessional. She claims she is too busy and has meetings all day to tlak to you on the phone. They have this super, Zibi who berates and yells at tenants. When it comes time to renew the lease, the proposed amount is double. Even though on Street easy, they are listing an equivalent apartment for far less. Overall, just a very shady property management company. Good riddance.

Hi my building was managed my MD2. They did a great job. My contact person was Justin VanAuken. He was always reachable and very responsive to my families needs. He made my living experience so much better and made sure the repairs my apartment needed were taken care of quickly. He was great.

Property management is a thankless task in NYC, especially if you're not in some sort of top-tier white-glove building. Which, of course, most of us are not. But Justin Van Auken and Joe Ruggiero always responded promptly to me and worked in good faith to find solutions to various issues with my apartment. Our building's ownership has recently decided to switch to another management company, and I'm sorry to see them go.

I have been very impressed with MD Squared and their diligence and professionalism. I have been a tenant for the past 18-months now and Michael Moinian has always been super on top of it and helpful with a few minor issues throughout the duration. Overall I definitely cannot recommend this property management group enough!

This was my first apartment in NYC and I couldn’t have been happier and more satisfied with Michael Moinian and the management company. Michael was very responsive when issues raised (rare but typical NYC issues), and were fixed in a timely manner and did not inconvenience my roommate and I. Property management was so dishonest. My son lived in 321 East 48 apt 3H for couple years. Property management didn’t make any necessary repairs. The lock was broken when my son moved in and property management never fixed the lock. My son was locked out one evening and told the doorman and the doorman helped my son called for lock smith, lock smith came opened the door and my son was charged for $1400.
