When I purchased my unit in an east village Co-op I was green to what the relationship with other Shareholders would be. In fact I also had to learn a lot about how a Coop works. Within a few months of joining the Coop I became the President of the Coop out of necessity rather than desire. Over the last many years, New Way has helped with everything. From coop legal matters, emergency repairs, high level capital projects, and complicated long term financial planning, New Way has been our Board’s and my personal trusted parted to navigate our return to steady state operations.

New Way skillfully organizes the things you didn’t even know to think about! We recently hired New Way after being managed by an affiliate of our building’s sponsor for several decades. New Way patiently walked us through many deficiencies our previous manager had been negligent of for all of those years, and importantly, is helping address them. Above being knowledgeable, New Way’s team is communicative, timely, and organized. We have come to rely on them and are enormously happy with the improvement in service since our switch.

New Way Management provided us with much needed structure. It is challenging as a small to mid-sized co-op to find a management company who is both willing to and competent enough to help manage not just the nuts and bolts of our building but the business of our building (including our commercial space). New Way Management far exceeded our expectations. As president of our co-op, we hired New Way after terminating a previous manager who consistently did not demonstrate the financial capabilities to run our building, even in the best of times. Shortly into their tenure, New Way assisted our building with a much-needed façade repair and roof replacement. New Way Management has managed our building for many years. As the treasurer of a large Cooperative building, it is often a challenge to balance the needs and wants of a diverse shareholder base. Over the last many years, New Way has done a wonderful job in helping our Board evaluate projects that will improve the value of our building, as well as prudent financial strategies to not put too great of a stress on our shareholder base. Window has been pouring water when it rains. Been a month and still filling up buckets of water when it rains. Next stop is filing a complaint with the city I guess? Any recommendations appreciated. If there was a zero stars option, that would still be too much. UPDATE as of August 2024 - still not fixed.
