One of the worst management companies I ever experienced. They offered us a renewal increase of over 20%. Then when we wanted to move out the sketchy super tried to scam us by claiming that we needed to repaint (legally they need to turnover the unit and painting is included in that) but missed the deadline and therefore we had to pay him ($150-$200) to do it or else we wouldn’t get our security deposit back. Maintenance never fixed anything. They were impossible to get in touch with.

Avoid this management company at all cost, even if they cheap. They don't do "management" , they don't pay to do maintenance, all they want is money but don't want pay for basic maintenance like leaking in the ceiling. Worst management company. Not even worth for 1 star.

This company as recently bought the building I'm living in from West Hudson and apparently lost my lease, then charged me higher rent and fees. Is that not fraud? Not trying to jump judgment, but neighbors also having issues. Shady. Found my lease and will see what happens when they return to office. Update: higher rating because they did fix some major stuff and did give my back deposit after my move out. This people doesn’t answer, I had been trying to contact from my building, has been impossible. I need support with my apartment and they don’t take my phone calls and Sarah doesn’t reply my emails.

What a pleasure living in The Essex, managed by Prospect Management. The professionalism and dedication to the community is second to none. Manny and his team do a Superbowl job maintaining the building immaculate, and Shevy and Nancy promptly address any issues regarding tenancy. I highly recommend The Essex and Prospect Management.

No issues. Prospect Management took over management of our building during our lease. They were helpful as we moved out and always responsive to our requests.

We had a great experience renting with them. The apartment was very clean and freshly painted when we moved in and had no major issues. Building is well maintained and management is communicative. When we moved out we got our deposit back quickly. Overall a great renting experience

Our building’s Sup is good, but property management is horrible experiences. Lived over 10years, Begin 2024, this company updated parking fee on the other account, but didn’t notify us. Also we need renewal lease, they sent other resident lease to us. Until today, these problems still not solved.

I lived in a building where Prospect took over as the property management . They handled certain situations fine , but as far as returning security check / deposit , are so unprofessional . They want you to pay it up front before moving in but don’t have the respect to give it to you in a timely manner after you’ve moved out. I even had my apartment patched and painted to make sure I got it back and yet here we are , still waiting on a check . I got told multiple times by Risi that it was sent but nothing has been received . Legally , we are over the time frame now . A check is to be delivered…

Communication with Prospect Management has been smooth and during the time I stayed in one of their buildings. The building was properly upkept and the staff warm and available. Overall, it was a friendly atmosphere that felt likehome.

Prospect Management really sets the standard for property management in NY. Jose makes sure the Maintenance issues are resolved quickly and effectively, which is a huge plus for any tenant.
