We worked with Kerr Properties from 1991 to 2002. We had 2 properties. We found them to be very efficient in understanding whats involved. Kerr was the company that was always there for us 24/7. It takes a great deal of business and "people skills" to make sure it all goes smoothly. They are a family owned business, and have since expanded . Cheers to you for all these years! My wife and I have a rental home in NE Portland that Kerr has managed for a number of years ( guessing 20 plus). We have been very pleased in the way they oversee all aspects of caring for our home. Their team in the office is very professional and the year-end reports make our life easy for doing your taxes. They also have great vendors that do all aspects of repairs that are a part of rental life. We strongly recommend Kerr Properties to anyone looking for someone to manage any rental property. I have been a homeowner since 1999, and am now looking for a rental property to take a pause before I buy my next home. The rental process is completely new to me and a bit complicated. I own a local exterior remodeling company so I have had the displeasure of working with a great many horrible property management companies! Kerr properties has the pleasure of being my favorite property management company. Tenant and landlords do not understand the roles of management companies and therefore they take advantage of them. Kerr gives a consistent consideration for every one of their properties. They do not cheat the landlords with shawty cheap repairs. They ask for the best and require the best. Landlords can rest assured their property are in good hands with Kerr.

Kerr is one of the best property management companies in town! The owner is an absolute wealth of knowledge and experience, and their business practices are top notch.

With me setting up my property as a rental I met with three property managers and found that Kerr Properties was the best option for me. The President of Kerr Properties Sean met with me to go through a walk through of the home. I rented from Kerr for many years overall I would say they are okay to do business with. The good the tend to respond to maintenence request well and inspect regularly. At least 1 a year usually twice a year. Thier communication is genrally professional. The inspectors are professional. I dont agree with some of thier practices regarding the inspection reports and there were some miscommunication with various house things over the years. I think they could be a bit kinder in thier communication with tenants in general. Overall they do there job and as long as you carefully read the lease.…

We've been renting with Kerr Properties in Milwaukie for a year and a half and are about to renew for another year. The neighborhood is safe, neighbors are great, and Kerr does a good job maintaining the property with timely checkups on heating, electrical, etc. There are some structural issues, mostly due to how the house was remodeled and how the builders chose to do things before we moved in—not really Kerr’s responsibility. Manager is petulant, rude, and incapable of answering basic questions. Was told I was asking illegal questions and "steering" when asking about ADA access stuff. I am blind. Manager also stated that the owner does not take calls. Owner, beware. This incompetent manager person (she did not even introduce herself or ask my name) lost you years of income from a perfect rental history tenant. I had the opportunity to use Kerr Properties after we had a fire and needed a place to live while we fighting with the Insurance company. The staff was incredibly helpful, they helped find a place that would work for us. The people in the office, very sweet, the field person, was very professional. Our family rented a 4 plex unit through Kerr Properties and had a great experience. Although the unit wasn’t in great condition the day we received keys, the maintenance requests were NEVER ignored. We put in many requests to get the unit up to our standards (we know we’re neurotic) and every request was responded to and fixed in a prompt timeframe. We really appreciated that! Kerr’s maintenance staff and contractors were very helpful and friendly. I’ve lived in a Kerr Properties duplex for 9 years and have stayed this long because they are an ethical and responsive team. They’re prompt to address maintenance issues, the tenant website is easy to use, and the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. They keep the grounds clean and they lead with kindness. I hope to live here for years to come!

I rented an apartment through Kerr for almost three years and never ran into any issues. They were always quick to respond to anything maintenance related and always sent really great companies out to assess and repair the issues, ones that never made me feel uncomfortable being a woman alone with my toddler at home with them. We received our security deposit back in a timely manner with no haggling and would recommend renting from them.

I’m super happy to have rented our last home through Kerr properties. Even though we had to break our lease early because we needed to move closer to our son’s school they have been great to us. We were given almost ALL our security deposit back because we kept the home super clean and well maintained just like how it was given to us. I have been renting from Kerr Properties since July of 2023. Throughout the application process, lease review, and move-in process I have had A LOT of questions. Sammy with Kerr has been so kind, thoughtful, patient, and informative with me and my seemingly unending stream of queries. They've been quick to send out maintenance when needed and have been respectful of my space and time. Their willingness to hear me out and work with me on a number of different areas has been sincerely appreciated.
