We've worked with North Star for a number of years now and highly recommend they're always on top of things that need to be repaired around the house, we trusted one of our properties with them and have been really happy, We have long term tenants who are happy and I believe its how they manage and take care of the place. Their online portal is easy to use and provides the info you need. highly recommend working with their professional team.

I recently bought a house at Lake Oswego as a rental property. While in escrow I interviewed three property management companies. One stood out above the rest. They were extremely knowledgeable of the high end LO market. I was also told they already had two potential tenants that would likely love our house. Later the next day, I was told they now have three. They showed it to one of the three, and the prospective tenants, became tenants by signing the lease. If you are an owner intending to rent your property with this company, I have one recommendation: DON'T. This company is not reliable. We rented our home through them and did not have a good experience. After we had signed a lease agreement with our tenants, North Star changed the terms of the lease agreement without our knowledge or signature and returned part of the deposit money to the tenants. We only discovered the "addendum" signed by the tenants and North Star (but not us) after the tenants moved out. When the tenants moved out there was significant damage to the property and they owe…

The positive reviews are baffling. I had a horrible experience with Northstar managing my property. The first 5 years were fine, nothing spectacular....and somehow about 2000 worth of furniture, including a kitchen island in the home (and was in the listing photos) somehow ended up gone before the first renter even started. The last year or so, my tenants requests were ignored for weeks and somehow just randomly cancelled with no explanation when I asked (gee...we don't know why it was cancelled). Zach was incredible. I was so impressed with how much time Zach spent with me to show me properties, and re-show me properties to make sure I found the right place for my situation. He was more concerned that I was happy with where I landed than with just closing a deal. I provided a bad review 9 months ago. Now, 9 months later they say they do not know who I am. Good one. WE rented a townhouse on Jack Lane for a year. My name was on the lease. Maintenance was terrible. Awful maintenance. Yiu complain about anything, they send someone out. Then wait sometimes months. Then call again and they send someone else out. Then wait again. Asa long time business owner their business model really sucks. Buyers beware
