Pet friendly and fair prices. The maintenance requests were answered quickly and they're constantly improving the property. We outgrew the place we lived in for 4 years so we moved out recently, but we enjoyed the time we lived there.

Can’t believe there isn’t 5 stars overall. I have been renting with this management company for years and it has been by far the best experience I have had with any landlord/management company. Very friendly, upkeep property, quick response to maintenance requests, very reasonable with pricing, leases, etc.

Bikes were stolen from the basement and management has done nothing. There is a broken window and broken handle where a crowbar was used to get into the building 5 days ago. The people who stole the bikes came back a second time because no one fixed the doors. No email to residents and no repairing the door while resident lose valuables, don’t move here.

Update 4-15-2026 This company gos above and beyond for their tenants. I'm literal proof of this. They work with Cascadia behavior health and their clients including me. I've never felt more safe and satisfied with a rental company before. My hope is to continue to be with star metro until I leave this earth. If you doubt me just go in and talk to the team. Nice & clean apts, friendly caring staff. This is a great place!!

I moved in a few months ago and I have to say, I am very impressed by the management team. I have had a few little things come up and had to email or call and they ALWAYS get back to me promptly and with a good response! I know choosing an apartment can be stressful because you don't want to get stuck with a bad management team, so I am writing this to express my happiness with the care I have received thus far.

I've rented with Star Metro for 3 years now and they are the best company I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Any requests for maintenance I've had are addressed quickly, usually within a day, even going so far as to add an extra lock on the trash room when asked to keep the homeless out. The property is clean and well maintained, the appliances are all new stainless steel and they regularly perform inspections of the fire and sprinkler system. Invasive "inspections" of units so they can steal your security deposit

HORRIBLE experience with everything after the tour of the building. There’s SO much to complain about that I have to use bullet points. •Locked inside of my apartment for HOURS because the door handle came off. This happened TWICE. •Electric heaters stopped responding to thermostat and were on HIGHEST temperature for DAYS without being fixed. We were moving from out of state. This management company was the easiest and best to work for given our hesitation to move somewhere sight unseen. They were unbelievably accommodating and especially enjoyed working with Grace who was fast, on time and communicative. They take care of their properties and take pride in keeping them up and running well. Company not worried about tenant safety. Run down buildings. Unreachable front office. All around poor experience.

Typical stuff, they don't get the units professionally cleaned between tenants, just kinda wipe stuff down, but they will still charge you an outrageous "cleaning fee" when you move out, regardless the state its left in. I've lived in 4 other apartments in Portland before this one and have never been charged a cleaning fee. I spent an entire day cleaning it myself, and left it in very good condition. They refused to clarify why the cleaning charge was so high, stating that they had already lowered it by $50. Also, expect your rent to go up after the first year. Not unusual, but just know that …

Rented with Star Metro for a year in inner SE Portland. They were fantastic. Maintenance concerns were addressed within 48 hours, office was super easy to get a hold of via email, text, or phone call. They use an app that you can use to pay rent and request maintenance which was awesome. They charged me $100 upon move out for some areas I missed when I cleaned (fair, in my opinion). Overall a great experience! I wouldn’t hesitate to rent with them again.
