Working with HOAs is always a pain but I found Deseret to be very helpful. Alex did a great job at answering my questions and providing me the right information.

As a realtor and an investment property owner, I have to work with a lot of HOA's. I am always thrilled when I see that I will get to work with Alex Gaytan at Desert Edge. He is so helpful, he always returns my calls and emails and is so quick to get the info that I need right over to me. I wish all of the HOA's in town were as easy to work with as Alex!

Deseret Edge has taken over our Hoa the last few years.Has changed contact people and more recently lets say are not friendly or fast.Far too often mistakes in communication are made and lack of transparency.I hope for change or change in ownership honestly.

They do an okay job of taking care of the HOA financials, but they have messed up billing for assessments and then tell us they can't fix it, so then they start charging late fees on their mistakes, but they could never figure out how to fix those either. Forget about repairs. They are useless for any type of maintenance requests. I put in a request for a structural damage repair and over a year later it still hadn't been addressed - nothing. I put in a maintenance request to change a lightbulb in a common area. (A lightbulb!) They started giving me a bunch of run-around so I ended up changing…

No one at this company responds to my calls. Myself and each condo owner at Skyline Towers, is being assessed a large amount (mine is $1,808) for damage caused by a poor roof contractor years ago. I’m trying to file a claim with my insurance company because I don’t have the money to pay it, but they need a letter from Desert Edge explaining the incident and amount being accessed. Desert Edge will not respond to my calls or requests. They’ve put the assessment on their app for payment but never sent us as owners anything explaining details. I have been very pleased over my 23 years living here at the Bluffs and being able to be part of the HOA board for 7 years. I am on the HOA board for our community and Derek at Desert Edge has been great to work with. They go over and above the paperwork.

Tori recently took over our HOA account with Desert Edge after several other reps briefly handled our account. She has worked tirelessly to get our account in order and make sure things started running correctly for us again. She tries her best to help all of our residents when needed, follows up on questions that we ask, and attends our monthly meetings which had not been done since the beginning of Covid. I have enjoyed working with Tori and hope that she continues to be our Rep with Desert Edge for many years to come.

Desert Edge was our management company seceral years ago and had to be fired because of the trouble they caused us. Board President Streeter decided to use this company again which was a big mistake for the homeowners. He is not a reasonable person and makes decisions which hurt the HOA. And Desert Edge does nothing to keep him in line.

I'm on the HOA board of The Bluffs community that they manage. We're a large community with around 250 residences. Desert Edge is a good property management company to work with. Behind the scenes, Derek works well with us to help manage the property as well as the finances. As a result, we're doing very well financially as an HOA and haven't had to raise HOA fees except once in the six years I've lived in the community. I was forced to work with Desert Edge from March of 2021 until October 2024, when I bought a condo in the Panorama building in Salt Lake City. I have many stories about their incompetence. For instance, I was billed over $19,000 dollars as a special assessment in November of 2022 and told I had three days to pay it - over a weekend! If I didn't pay by Sunday, I would begin getting charged 7% interest on a loan I never agreed to. They ran over budget on the assessment by 200k, then instead of a 4% interest rate that we were told would be the loan rate, it ballooned to 7.2%. On another occasion…

No I am not happy with your service. It would be nice to have a paper copy sent so I know exactly what to pay including the date if late. Also it would be nice to get in touch faster by a person to person phone call when I have questions. However I didn't realize that you have so many to manage, but I would still like a paper copy sent so I know exactly what if any changes there might be and when you received it and why if not. I do not like using Google which there are too many messages to find just yours.

Recently moved into my new home and I get my vehicle towed. A courtesy call would have went a long ways. I got dinged for time parked in one area. I park in the same open spot every time. I guess make sure you shuffle your vehicle around so you don’t get robbed. Single father with kids living with him. Medical dispatcher first responder. I work almost 100 hours a week saving lives. Just to be able to afford my own home and then get hit with a $381 tow bill. This is outrageous. Justin has a very quick response time and is on top of any questions or concerns we have had since moving in. He’s very knowledgeable in his field and has been a great asset to our community.

My car was wrongfully and unlawfully towed, while parked in my spot I pay for, with my parking pass displayed, within the first week of living in my new home. I called the HOA last Friday, but they went home early. I’ve called them nearly every business day since and have left multiple voicemails, and have had no return correspondence.

When I submit maintenance request I receive a response same day or following day, 7 days a week. What ever needs attention is done in a timely manner. I’ve never been ignored and I really appreciate that. I highly recommend Desert Edge Property Management.

There are “community cats” and they do have rights according to the Utah law. They belong to the community, (which means they don’t need licenses, since they do not belong to anyone). Please do more research on this matter, and check on animal abuse. Behind our building, there is an RV storage for the 55 and older community next door. The 2 cats mentioned live over there, and hunt Vermin, and anything else that comes down the canal. Has anyone seen a mouse in their home in the last 4 years that these community cats have been here? Literally one of the worst property management companies you could find. I've lived in two separate communities "managed" by them. They essentially want your monthly payment for nothing. When there is an issue they won't respond or help. But they're quick to send emails, threats, and raise their rates for no reason other than greed. They treat their customers like little kids in trouble. Not the people supplying their paychecks.

I have left a voice message and an email for Derek last month and I have not received a response. I have tried calling the operator for this company to talk to someone and I still have not had any answers. I do not recommend this company and I am only forced to use them because I live in a place they already managed. I wish that this property place used a different management system. Panorama the property I live is managed by Desert Edge Management. I noticed they have been charging me a fee of 2.49$ on top of my HOA fee, from August 2023. This was done with out any communication to me of any alternate methods of payment. After contacting them first my bank was blamed, the bank said no it is a charge from a Desert Edge App. This was ofcourse not authorized by me.Beaware of unauthorized charges.
