She went above and beyond with communication and assistance, even helping to take measurements of rooms since we were out of state and trying to figure out furniture size and fit. On the whole my experience with Keyrenter has been very positive! After signing on with them to manage rental of a house in Salt Lake City, their property manager, Andrea Gonzales, worked with me to find contractors to do some major renovations: total replacement of flooring, new paint inside and out, removal of a swamp cooler, adding a French drain by the garage, and major electrical work to upgrade the amperage to the house as well as enhancing electrical safety in the home. Colin helped me locate and purchase a property which was within my target budget and rented with an 18 month lease for exactly what I was hoping for. They don't return phone calls. I've called and left voicemails about seven times over two weeks concerning a billing issue/discrepancy and nothing. So far, on two separate occasions and through several contacts, we haven’t been able to contact the owners when we have more complex questions about the property. But other than that, Keyrenter has been quite pleasant to work with. Ruby is always prompt about replying to my messages, and maintenance workers always do a great job.

They have been extremely helpful with all the move in payments and question that I have had!

Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting move into a new apartment became a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience due to inaccurate advertising. The apartment listing explicitly advertised both a “Storage Unit” and a “Shed.” Because storage was important to me, I specifically asked questions about it before signing the lease. Only after signing and paying fees did I discover that neither actually existed. After much back and forth, the company did indeed honor the original language that was marketed.

We’ve been renting from Keyrenter for the past five years, and our experience with them has been phenomenal! Kelsey and Willie have done a terrific job taking care of us, making sure repairs are handled promptly, as well as being friendly and supportive with any issues we have. Thanks Keyrenter!

Absolutely horrible experience we went a month with no window in the middle of winter. Also went a month with no AC last July and they could care less terrible communication with the management company. When we moved in the house was not cleaned as promised. They charge fee after fee. Everytime I get ahold of staff it’s always somone different and they always tell us something different and do not communicate with the other staff. They are extremely rude and disrespectful. Extremely unprofessional company avoid at all cost.

We came to our new home full of junk , gross food and trash, the grass wasn’t cut in the back, there was a notice from the city of hazards and many many more. The trash bin was full, the outside patio was covered in cobwebs and broken with wasps nests, there was items we were told that were going to be removed that weren’t. The deep freezer was full of junk. There was a pile of spit out sunflower seeds. There were nails and a sharp blade on the garage floor that thankfully we didn’t park in the garage. No one has called us back. No one has cared to do their job. All of this was told to us that…

Worst move in experience I have ever had. Our microwave, fridge and air conditioner were all broken upon moving in. Also, the sink was backed up and would overflow, and the toilets leak. I would have hoped that they would check the property before renting it out. Update: We have been working with Keyrenter to get everything fixed over the last few months. They have been really kind to replace/fix items in the house that were not working as expected.

UPDATE: they fixed everything and now we are enjoying the rental! They really did a good job resolving the issues and communicating with us! Special shoutout to Ruby! She has been a life saver! This was so disappointing. We moved from out of state and when we got to the property the ac was broken, two of the toilets weren’t operating correctly, the microwave was broken, almost all of the fridge shelves were broken and the door was cracked, the kitchen sink wouldn’t drain and was full of sediments. It was such an awful experience.

They tried renting a house to me that is covered in dog piss, and the whole garage is crooked just like them.

When I moved out, I opened a ticket to resolve a maintenance issue related to blinds and cleaning, but I never received a response. I made every effort to resolve the matter in advance, yet I was ignored and later hit with inflated charges. We are pretty easy people to work with and have given over 8 months of time for our 1 issue to be resolved by the team at keyrenter. We moved out last August and since then have been waiting for reimbursement for our security deposit. They respond incorrectly according to their own policies over the 8 months that both my wife and I emailed in. To finally resolve it they tell us that the security deposit was all used, but wont send over invoices or an itemized list as proof. Willie with the KeyRenter maintenance team is amazing! We had a fossette break and had to shut off the water to the house on Christmas Eve. Willie had a plumber out within 2 hours, so we didn't go without water over the holiday. Any issues we have, he's always quick to get the done.

Due to past interactions with other property management companies, I was expecting a poor experience with keyrenter as a tenant. But that has not been the case at all. I’m amazed at the level of service that is given, specifically Argenis. I’ve had to navigate some challenges and confusion on my end with month payments and Argenis is so nice and clear with recommended next steps. It makes me feel like they care about my situation.

Great experience! Very quick turn around. I was able to view and apply in one afternoon. Even though it was a Friday and a holiday weekend, all paperwork was done and processed by Monday afternoon. The whole process was quick and easy. Done completely via email. All questions answered in a timely fashion. This place sucked!!!!! They wouldn’t answer any maintenance requests and got our water shut off even though they were responsible for paying the water bill as it was included in our rent. The staff here is lazy and disrespectful and quite frankly a disgusting group of people by the way they spoke to my Roomate’s and I.

Kelsey has been very communicative and helpful throughout the leasing process. She helped us get into a rental within a couple days of seeing it, and made sure the issues we had were dealt with in a timely manner. When we had a problem and couldn’t get into contact with the appropriate dept, Kelsey stepped in and helped remediate. It’s great to have a PM company that responds quickly.

The staff has always been topnotch, but recently the employee Michelle Aguayo helped my family through a very difficult time. While we are now navigating a family health issue, Aguayo showed outstanding efforts to assist us in a trying moment. Very professional and kind. A sincere thank you from all of us for your help.

Keyrenter was good to go through and work with. I only had one individual that didn’t seem to give good service or give follow up on questions and concerns and that individual was soon gone. The rest of the staff I communicated with was great! To the dedicated staff that helped me, thank you all!!

I hate property management places! This one is no exception! They tried to jack up my rent $150 as well as charge me for renewing my lease. Additionally, they said I had to buy the renters benefits package (RBF). This is supposed to be a benefit to me but I can only see it as s benefit to them...the $50 extra dollars it would cost to have it! They also tried to hit me with a $3 charge to pay my rent! Great experience, love the app and the ease of use. We live in a digital age and they have implemented that with there services. Easy to make payments and schedule maintenance if needed.

I have been renting from KeyRenter for 8 years and have had my fair share of things needing to be attended to and maintained that is outside of my scope. Everytime I have put a work order in it is addressed and the communication is good. Paying rent is easy with the online site and app.

Keyrenters, especially Michelle Aguayo, made our renewal process extremely stress free. I have really enjoyed renting from them. If I had a maintenance issue, they were always on top of it. I would recommend Keyrenters.

I have been living at my property since 2022. They have been very respectful. They have been following all the Utah Rental Laws. Every time I have a maintenance request they respond and send someone out very quickly. I never had any issues. They have great hospitality and they keep their premises clean. Argenis the property manager has been very respectful and generous. Every time I have a questions or need anything filled out he has great availability to respond. I would recommend Keyrenter Property management to family and friends.

Willie is really good about resolving my issues with the property

I would give less than one star if possible. Horrible customer service. Can’t get the same person on the phone no matter how many times you call. Never get called back on emergency maintenance situations. And the home was not properly cleaned on move in. I would not recommend Keyrenter to anyone trying to rent in the salt lake valley especially college students with limited renting experience.

My family had the WORST experience with Keyrenter. After moving out we were not contacted to receive the prorated rent for our last month, I had to reach out and even then it was a hassle and took a month to get the funds that we’re already over a month late. I could never get ahold of the right person, or get a timely response. Very poor service in every aspect!!

Ruby probably finds me annoying since I go to her for all the help I need but she is fantastic! Always there to help and very quick to respond. Thank you Ruby!
