Blindsided! Love my apt and so does my sister who lives on the 3rd flr. However corporate is stone deaf! The Ivy at Draper has had several problems floods in 5 apts, took 4 mos to fix, main elevator down for a week, then due to vacancies our first year rent increase is $ 80+! That is only due to Jt Thrope emails stating to sign our new lease by July 7th with a 6% increase or after that in could go up 3% more! Oh my, some of us are living on SSI, we were only told maybe a 3% increase, but now we might have to move! Several of us in fact, we haven't seen any new improvements, still have dead tre…

I cannot get my Google router from a property managed by Greystar (SLX). The property forces you to use GFiber for internet, and you need to use a Google router, which a Google tech installs. Only AFTER I left SLX, they send an email with move-out instructions saying that I need to return the router. I contacted Google and said I left the apartment already and asked if the router could be transferred to the new tenant. I was told that equipment cannot be transferred. I’ve been asking SLX for this router for a month, and I’ve been told that SLX contacted their Google rep. I don’t know for wha…

I used to live at the Brickgates Fireclay apartments. I’ve been waiting for my security deposit check for months, and when I went to the office, the young woman working there told me they couldn't help me without an appointment. When I mentioned what my agent had told me, she claimed she wasn't in charge of that and wouldn't let me proceed any further. They simply stole my money! Do not live here!

Please change and do better all the fees and hoops renters have to jump through are ridiculous. I despise all greystar properties ridiculous practices.

They won't give me the portion of my deposit that I am owed because they changed management when I moved out.
1.0★Mar 2026
Currently moving out of my Greystar managed apartment after 3 years and I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Greystar. The amount of fees they charge at every stage of the lease is honestly ridiculous. There are fees to move in, fees every single month, and then more fees when you move out. It feels like you’re constantly being nickel-and-dimed for everything.
On top of that, the biggest issue has been maintenance. Any time I’ve had an urgent or emergency maintenance issue, it’s been extremely difficult to get a response. When you actually need help, there’s no sense of urgency or reli…

I have lived at Brixton in SLC, owned by Greystar, for 1.5 years, paying over $2,500/month, which includes $200+ in additional fees for the "community" and a monthly pest control charge. Despite this, management has consistently ignored my communications regarding a severe pest issue. My patio is unusable and covered in pigeon waste year-round; it is a disgusting eyesore and a legitimate health hazard. They say they do not have the budget to fix this issue.
I will not be renewing my lease for this reason alone.
It is unacceptable to be charged for pest control services that are not being pro…

The rent is advertised as low but there are approximately $300 in monthly fees which are unavoidable. The rent is also raised every year so if you plan on renewing your lease you will be paying more even though everything about the place stays the same and you don't get anything out of the additional money you're paying. The maintenence sucks, I've requested about 3 times now to have the ice maker in my refrigerator repaired as it leaks water and i end up with one giant piece of ice the size of of the ice tray that has to be broken up to be used. They simply reset the ice maker which makes it …

Unfortunately, my experience with the leasing staff at Luma has been consistently negative. Despite residents paying thousands in rent, the treatment we receive is shockingly poor. One staff member in particular is consistently rude, unapproachable, and gives off the clear impression that she resents both her job and the people who live here. There’s never a smile, never a “welcome home,” just cold, dismissive interactions that make the entire leasing office feel uninviting.
It’s easy to see why so many units are sitting empty who wants to sign a lease where the first point of contact makes y…

I was @ Black Ridge Cove TH's in St. George UT. New owners now & worse mgmt co. running it. Total dump & way over priced! I 1000% agree w/Steph G! Do not apply to any of their properties. They suck managing them & are only into sales. They don't make sure the apartments are clean prior to move in, especially if a pet or people lived in them. That happened to me. I knew the manager prior to, went to the property a year later & decided to rent. They had a lot of rentals, I needed a place to live. I thought I was getting a sweet deal. What I got was an over priced, filthy place, that the manager …

If I could I would give them a one star. They employ predatory towing companies. They have no emergency maintenance. I had to call 911 because of a carbon monoxide issue. In general this has been the worst place I have lived.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Greystar has been one of the worst property management companies I’ve ever dealt with. Not only did they mishandle my security deposit refund, but their customer service is absolutely terrible. Every interaction I had with their office staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.
Instead of being helpful or transparent, they made the entire process stressful and frustrating. It’s clear they don’t care about their residents once you move out. I strongly recommend avoiding any property managed by Greystar if you value your money, time, and sani…

They are very greedy with all of the fees they charge. They charge tenants $6 a month just to create a rent bill, and $20 to send a final bill. Terrible customer service. Substandard apartment construction with no soundproofing. The common areas are filthy. Rent from them at your peril.

This group will scam you because they bought too many buildings and are in the red. My experience with them was terrible and after I COMPLETED my lease they sent me to collections for breaking it and charging for the services they forgot to finish before leasing me my unit. Our neighbors downstairs told us the unit was only vacant for about a week and no one came to clean or fix it before we moved in and Greystar had to pay for a hotel for my family to stay in because the unit was so rancid.

I am so tired of having to pay 40 bucks a month for a parking spot. That's dedicated to me and my car still gets towed away anytime they want. I'm almost into a $1000 in towing fees.

The move-out process was unclear, even though we followed all the steps we were told to. Christina on their phones has been consistently unhelpful and rude. We’ve been reaching out for months, and she only responds when we follow up repeatedly. It’s disappointing because we truly loved the apartment, but the way they’ve handled things since we left has completely ruined our experience.
If you are going to get a place with them, read things carefully and be aware you will not get your security deposit back with all the extra charges they make up.

Horrible company I would not recommend this property management to my worst enemy’s. They are absolutely shitty. They denied my deposits over carpet they had to replace when it was the exact same way before I even
Moved in. Do not use them they are a huge scam!!!

Absolutely do not apply to live at ANY Greystar owned apartments. They claim the payment is refundable if you decide not to move in, but that's completely false. We've been waiting since April 25th for our refund and are beyond frustrated. They still owe us over $250 with zero resolution or follow-up. Total scam vibes.
They just now processed the check for us after I threatened legal action. It is June 6th now, I went to pick up yesterday at 5:30 after work and they had this silly sign on their door reading 2pm. I waited outside 40 minutes and no one was there, they close at 6pm. Do better an…

Zero. Do not believe the utilities package😩 I'm now stuck with a 2000 rmp bill because they never paid them in 2020 but was still taking the utilities package money. I knew something was wrong but they kept gaslighting me. I rented an apartment at 644 City Station(one of the properties at Greystar) for 2 whole years and never did I miss a payment nor had any voice complaints etc. but the way I was treated upon move out is for everyone to know. While I was writing my review here, I can see people in this past year complaining about the same - 'INSANE MOVE OUT FEES'. Let me tell you how this apartment leasing complex and Greystar loots its tenants. I was charged $2090.82 on moveout post …

Endured mental abuse for over a year at the hands of Greystar properties. After winning my fair housing committee decision on mental abuse Greystar wanted to keep it out of the courts. After mediation with them I was ripped off by management for egregiously high move out costs. Even though I had lived there five years, and I was told that due to wear and tear, I would not be responsible for any damage in the apartment and that I would receive my full deposit plus what we had agreed upon in mediation, they still trumped up the move out costs leaving me with next to nothing in my settlement. If I could give them 0 stars I would. They just took over my building and the staff is completely rude and they have no knowledge or training on how to manage a building. They act as if their service is a favour that they are doing to us while we pay rent and that’s why they have a job

Never got hold of their management. Left several voicemail on their Utah Salt Lake City office. No response. I have a major complaint about their property named “ Essex” on 350 S 600 East. I got assaulted by one of the staff member. They hire the maintenance staff who has access to storage units and the head of maintenance stole the stuff out of my storage unit.

This company demanded that my ex and I pay for a months rent for time we did not live on one of their properties. After that was explained and understood, they removed the rent charge but still demanded we pay for the electricity and water that we did not use while we were not living there. After a lot of deliberation, they told me they'd remove the charge and instead went to my ex (the other name on the lease) and told them that I deferred the charge to them. This was a lie and they were stupid enough to cc me in the email. After seeing this and giving them a call, absolutely livid, they…

Absolute garbage company. Double charged me for deposit. They towed and impounded my car while I’m out of state and didn’t bother to tell me. Insisted that I didn’t have my parking pass in the car (lies!) and now I have to fly back home to get my car out of the impound it’s been in for 1 week. I hate this place so much. Looking for a good attorney.
