We contracted with Pineapple for property management due to their monthly costs being low and by a recommendation from a realtor. It was a practice in the saying “you get what you pay for”. Although some staff at Pineapple have been difficult for me to get ahold of in the past, Kali was so incredibly helpful when an electrical issue caused my furnace/AC and refrigerator/freezer to stop running. She was transparent about what was going on every step of the way and responded promptly to all of my texts even though it was a weekend. She was also so kind and accommodating in getting me what I needed to keep my apartment livable while repairs were in progress.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. We rented one of their properties for three years and were good tenants. We kept the home clean, took care of the property, and even spent hundreds of dollars on grass seed because we were told lawn maintenance was our responsibility, even though the yard was in poor condition when we moved in. Before we moved in, they even tried to have us accept the house with a massive five-foot hole in the master bedroom ceiling after a tree had fallen on it. This company is complete garbage. Not only will they nag you to move in as early as possible to get things moving because the owners don't want to be without monthly income. Upon moving in the unit had never been cleaned it still smelled horrifically like cat piss the dishwasher wasn't hooked up correctly which led to them calling a plumber who then cut apart the plumbing and we were without water for hours. They charge for quarterly inspections but do not do them any request from the maintenance department goes unanswered we had a smoke detector with no battery for the better part of 4 months…

This is the WORST RENTING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I’ve lived in multiple apartments and have never had any issues but this Management company is so terrible that I’m taking the time to write a review. To start, they have so many hidden fees such as a $40 fee every month for “maintenance and inspection”. Our air conditioning went out and we had to call at 4:30. They were so nice and the maintenance person named Justin came out that evening. He tried really hard to fix it but unfortunately it needed something that had to be ordered. When we first started working with Pineapple they were very efficient. From the time we toured, applied and were notified that we were approved was very quick, and for that we are very appreciative. I had a good experience with Crystal! I think my apartment was average and what you would expect from a rental in a college town. However, the responsiveness and helpfulness from Pineapple Property Group! They were 100% willing to help and help swiftly, which made for a very pleasant experience with them!

JC is the best maintenance guy! Our AC went out and he came over within an hour, found the problem, brought us portable AC units, and came back every day until it was fixed. He was also so nice and explained everything!

6 month update: the carpets weren't cleaned before we moved in and still smelled like cat urine in multiple rooms. We let that go. This property management company is banking on tenants not reading their monthly rent statements or talking to each other. I was charged fees for issues caused by other tenants, and getting a straight answer from anyone is nearly impossible. They offered me a “special” early renewal—with a 34% rent increase. I rent an apartment in the Salt Lake area that is managed by Pineapple Property. When there was a significant water leak in my place originating from another unit I hopped onto the renter portal and submitted a maintenance request. Within a few minutes Kali acknowledged the request and a technician arrived within the hour. Mold resistant primer was applied and after finding matching paint, Ken made the affected area look so good! I greatly appreciated the quick response, regular updates, and quality work.

Crystal has absolutely made the rental process super smooth. She seems to have great integrity and has made the stressful situation of moving a breeze I can’t thank her and the pineapple team enough.

My water heater was starting to fail , Ken came out and replaced it and was very thorough in getting everything taken care of and cleaned up after himself. Great experience, and thanks Ken for getting the hot water back up and running today!

Naga was extremely helpful with my move-in inspection.

Our furnace went down. Dustin was quick to assist and diagnose the issues with our furnace. He was able to get our furnace back up in running within an hour. Thanks to Dustin we have heat in our home once again. Thank you Dustin!

When I moved out of a property they tried to overcharge me for cleaning, when they didn't fix the washer and dryer and expected me to pay for it to be cleaned when they weren't done with the work. They look for any reason to charge you . Also charged me for lawn service which came out to $250 and the yard wasn't done correctly for that price, they literally just cut it down. The carpet was dirty when I moved in and they refused to clean it even though it smelled like dog piss and I had small children, so before I could even move my things into the place I had to shampoo the carpet first ! Pineapple property group on the other hand is working with us, but the house we rented has several issues that made in inhabitable. Most of those things are being fixed now. They rented me an apartment that turned out to be unregistered and highly dangerous. After I moved in, all communication with PPG ceased, and any effort to reach out was in vain. I've had multiple agents hang up on me when I ask for help with basic stuff, none of my maintenance requests were reviewed, let alone fixed, and 2 appliances worked in the unit. And on top of it all, THE HOUSE DOESNT MEET FIRE CODE!!!! I will be suing for damages and loss.

The lack of communication and professionalism from the office was horrible - they took $500 from our deposit for damage their maintenance team did and refused to explain why or provide any written documentation for such. We love working with Pineapple. They are the first property group that we’ve been able to rent through that’s not a large apartment complex. It’s very refreshing to work with down to earth people and have a communication directly with the owner of the property if needed. They are always friendly and the inspections are professional without disturbing your privacy. They are very quick to get maintenance completed or questions answered. We will be going through them for future rental needs as long as we can until we find a home that’s purchasable in this economy. We only wish we found them soon…

Horribly ran! They will not take care of maintenance requests in a timely matter. We have waited weeks for simple repairs to be done. Everyone there is rude and never helpful.

They will not respond to maintenance requests. We have gone without heat during the winter months for over a week because the Owner was on vacation. The Owner has promised to place sod in the front and back yard going on 4 years and has yet to follow through.

Justine was very helpful in helping find this studio and Crystal was very professional while showing me the studio and with helping getting me into the place.

My wife and I just found a place using PPG, and while I can’t honestly say the company is perfect as a whole, because there have been some small issues along the way, what I can say is our leasing agent Crystal has been absolutely amazing!!! And near perfect, she does a great job staying on top of things and making sure your needs are always addressed and does it extremely fast.

Crystal was an absolutely incredible communicator and point of contact for a rental property in Salt Lake! Always open to answer questions small or big, and very straight forward with answers and timelines. She’s made finding a place one of the easiest and smoothest transitions we’ve faced since moving to Utah!

The repairman Joe is always super nice and friendly. Have never had a negative experience with him fixing stuff up. Always gets the job done quick!

Our inspector, Joe, along with the Pineapple Property Group have been amazing to work with. My boyfriend and I found a perfect apartment with them and the entire process was very helpful and stress free. I especially appreciated their transparency! Don't like to Communicate with you. Don't respond back to emails. Don't care about you only want your money. Will come in random and email you why is your trash not taken out or dishes in your sink. Look elsewhere save money and the hassle of dealing with them.

Joe came through to do a seasonal inspection and was awesome! Changed our air filter without us asking, and was all around just a cool dude. 5 stars for my man Joe!

Crystal was a very helpful and friendly person to assist us with the viewing and rental process. In addition, the company was more than willing to keep us updated and well-informed about our status throughout the application process. Much more pleasant experience than with other property management companies in the Salt Lake metro area.

The technicians talked their way into the apartment that I rent under false pretenses, lied to my face, and were rude to me in the extreme. Had I known they were going to behave this way, I would have never invited them in to do their so-called "work". Save yourself the trouble & rent from someone else. All these new 5 star reviews are because they offer 10 dollars for good reviews. I came home to maintenance inside the property. We had no notice of anybody coming out for repairs. We have had multiple issues with no notice of maintenance coming out to do repairs. They have breached the contract agreement & only offered 250 dollars for resolution. We have rented from them for 4 years, with repairs that still have not been fixed. It has honestly been an absolute nightmare.

Sort reviews by lowest before renting from this company. Every bad thing said about their properties is completely accurate. Cheap management company = cheap property owners. Go anywhere else in SLC. They all suck but this might be one of the worst. All their good reviews are written by people who have yet to live in one of their properties. I've been a tenant with PPG for almost 8 years and they have always treated me fairly and respectfully. I've never had any outstanding issues with them and whenever I've needed maintenance on my unit it's always been handled in a timely manner and done properly. If you're looking for a rental unit of any kind I would give them a call first.

Joe came to inspect the house I’m currently residing at. He provided awesome service and customer service. He checked everything that needed to be checked and was very helpful in answering any questions I had. I hope to get him again.

I moved nearly halfway across the country for an employment opportunity in Utah. While I wasn’t able to visit SLC in person, with the help of Crystal, I was able to find an apartment that covered what I needed at a more than competitive price for the area. DO NOT rent from this company. We moved into a dirty house and had to put in maintenance request for 20+ issues which some never got resolved upon move out. Film and document every single thing as they take your security deposit for anything and everything. They tried to charge us for cleaning the house even though we paid professional cleaners and never moved into a clean house to start with. This is by far the worst company I have ever rented from.

It’s possible Pineapple cares, but the owner of 1403 West Temple, doesn’t care at all. Biggest complaint? Power. I had 9 overloads while I lived there, as in, the wires can’t hold a normal amount of current. The breaker box wasn’t even in my apartment. It was in a secret place in the house that the owner only had access to. What kinda ridiculous thing is that?! Continuing with power issues, the apartment had 12 outlets. Ok that’s not bad. They once came into my house without telling us, which is breaking the contract, and I saw a strange man walk into my house through my ring camera and was instantly panicked. Called the cops. Turns out they had texted a former roommate who wasn’t even on the new lease. And she didn’t respond to confirm they could come. They also charged us for things when we left that were absolutely ridiculous. Pineapple property group should be embarrassed for how many people are claiming they took their security deposit. Which is illegal if they are using your security deposit for normal wear and tear.
